The Acolyte follows a group of young Padawans and their Jedi mentors as they investigate a series of crimes that could threaten the stability of the Republic. The show has been praised for its diverse cast and its exploration of the dark side of the Force.

In a recent interview with Variety, The Acolyte showrunner Leslye Headland teased the possibility of a second season.

"I think there's definitely more story to tell," Headland said. "We've only scratched the surface of this world and these characters. I have a lot of ideas for where we could go in a second season."

Headland also addressed the deaths of two major characters in the season finale.

"I know some fans were upset about those deaths," Headland said. "But I think they were necessary for the story we're telling. We wanted to show that even in the world of Star Wars, no one is safe."

The Acolyte has been a critical and commercial success. It is currently one of the most-watched shows on Disney Plus. If Headland gets her wish, fans will be able to enjoy another season of the show in the future.
