Corrigan's Fighting Irish Defeat Maryland 15-5 in NCAA Finals

Notre Dame lacrosse coach Kevin Corrigan and the Fighting Irish finally finished on top when they defeated Duke in the 2023 NCAA championship game.

The Fighting Irish, who also won the title in 2022, took down the Blue Devils 15-5 in the championship game in East Hartford, Connecticut.

Notre Dame was led by senior attackman Pat Kavanagh, who had four goals and two assists. Junior midfielder Liam Entenmann and senior attackman Matt Kavanagh each added three goals for the Fighting Irish.

Corrigan, who is in his 36th season as head coach at Notre Dame, said he was proud of his team's effort and execution.

"We played a great game today," Corrigan said. "We were able to control the tempo of the game and we were able to make some big plays when we needed to."

The Fighting Irish finished the season with a 16-3 record, including a 6-1 mark in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
